I’m Remo, a flight attendant based in Dallas and the heart behind TraveLab. Splitting my time between Athens and Cairo, I’ve been fortunate to live in 11 countries across 4 continents and speak 5 languages fluently.

My journey in Cairo began nearly eight years ago, and I was immediately enchanted by its vibrant culture and deep history. This love for the city inspired the creation of ThinkCairo, which has since evolved into TraveLab—a reflection of my passion for sharing the world’s beauty through conscious, immersive travel.

Meet Sofia, the purr-fectly hilarious ragdoll cat hailing all the way from the bustling streets of Cairo. By day, she dons her fanciest bowtie and takes charge as the quirky office manager at TraveLab, where her feline wit and charm keep everyone on their toes.

Sofia takes her role very seriously—or at least, as seriously as a cat can! 

With an impeccable eye for detail (especially when it comes to inspecting documents by sprawling across them), she ensures that every travel itinerary is whisker-approved. Her efficient office skills include napping on keyboards, chasing invisible mice, and expertly batting pens off the table during brainstorming sessions.

Don't be fooled by Sofia's demure demeanor—she's a true multitasking maven. When she's not busy typing nonsensical messages on Slack (or claiming coworkers' chairs as her personal thrones), she takes charge of the office entertainment department. Her acrobatic feats and sudden bursts of energy during the most mundane meetings never fail to bring a smile to everyone's faces.

A true globetrotter at heart, Sofia draws inspiration from her worldwide adventures, even if they mostly consist of stalking sunbeams and lounging in exotic cardboard boxes. She dreams of exploring ancient Egyptian ruins, although she insists on being carried like the regal feline queen she is.

Originally from Portugal and now residing in Greece, Claudia is a seasoned travel designer at TraveLab, specializing in curating bespoke travel experiences with a focus on the Mediterranean. With deep expertise in destinations like Greece, Spain, Italy, and Portugal, Claudia is your go-to expert for crafting unforgettable journeys throughout this culturally rich region.

Fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Greek, Claudia has spent years refining her skills as a travel designer, with a special emphasis on creating unique itineraries that blend local culture, cuisine, and hidden gems. Her knowledge of the Mediterranean's intricate coastlines, historic sites, and luxurious accommodations makes her a standout in the industry.

Claudia’s journey began in Portugal, where her passion for travel and culture led her to immerse herself in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry. Her early career saw her organizing large-scale corporate events, sharpening her attention to detail and cultivating strong industry relationships. Born and bred in Dokki, Cairo, Suzy graces the halls of TraveLab as the Assistant Office Manager with an enigmatic flair.

But don't be deceived by her fluffy persona and sugary smiles; behind those twinkling eyes lurks the stealth and savvy of a suspected corporate spy. While she's exceptionally adept at organizing office potlucks and juggling appointments, we've often scratched our heads wondering how our secret coffee blend (and a handful of trade secrets) consistently finds its way to our rivals. Some say it's her Egyptian charm, while others hint at a double life we know little about. 

Regardless, we've grown fond of our paradoxical Suzy. After all, every office needs its sprinkle of mystery. Remember, in the world of TraveLab, it's always wise to keep your friends close, but your office managers just a smidge closer. 😉🕵️‍♀️📂🔍

We’re pleased to welcome Simona, the latest addition to the TraveLab team. With an impressive background spanning continents and industries, she brings a unique blend of expertise to our Cruise Division—and she's here to elevate your travel experiences across the board.

Born and raised in Italy, Simona’s life has been defined by her passion for exploration. Fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English, she’s traveled extensively from an early age, absorbing diverse cultures and perspectives along the way. 

In 2004, she made a bold move to the Mexican Caribbean, where she spent years shaping the region’s hospitality landscape, launching boutique hotels and upscale restaurants in some of the most sought-after destinations—Cancun, Tulum, and Playa del Carmen.

Never one to shy away from a challenge, Simona returned to Italy to attend culinary school, followed by training at a Maritime Academy, earning her certification to work on yachts and super yachts. This pivot led her to a decade-long journey sailing the world’s oceans, gaining deep insights into global ports, hidden locales, and the intricacies of life at sea.

Simona’s first-hand experience across the globe means she brings an unmatched depth of knowledge to crafting exceptional cruise itineraries. Whether it’s finding the perfect port, offering insider recommendations, or tailoring a journey to your specific needs, she’s a valuable resource for curating extraordinary travel.

As a certified yoga instructor and lifelong advocate for personal growth, she designs experiences that nourish both body and soul.
